The UC Movement for Efficient Privatization (UCMeP)

For Immediate Release

Students, Faculty, and Staff pledge 110% confidence in President Yudof, the UC Regents, and the efficient privatization of the world's greatest public university.
-------------------
UC Movement for Efficient Privatization (UCMeP) Resolution- Passed 9/6/09

-We the faculty, students, and staff of the University of California recognize that the University of California has fallen behind the times by pursuing a goal of excellence in public education.

-We pledge our 110% confidence in President Yudof, the UC Regents, and their ambitious plans to privatize and streamline the nation's best public university.

-We announce our unflagging belief that in times of crisis such as the University of California now faces, democracy, shared governance, and public debate are only obstacles in the way of efficient privatization and must not be tolerated.

-We aver that demands for greater transparency of the University of California budget can only lead to further outrage and lend support to criticisms of President Yudof and the Regents, and so must be avoided at all cost in order to save costs.

-We demand the end to all organizing, troublemaking, and general hullabaloo by UC faculty, staff, and students.

-We call for a UC-wide “buy-in” on Thursday, September 24, 2009 in support of the efficient privatization of the University of California.

-We admire the bravery of administrators who accept raises in their salaries while slashing the wages of everyone else (or at least those they don’t lay off), hiking up student fees, cutting academic services, and furloughing staff. The courage of these administrators truly gives the students of the University of California something to look up to.

-We maintain our belief that to make an omelette, you sometimes have to break a couple eggs. And if those eggs include things such as the quality of UC courses, the diversity of the student body, the living standards of our staff, and the University of California’s reputation around the world for excellence in public education, then so be it.

Hey there exceptional blog! Does running a blog like this require
a massive amount work? I have virtually no knowledge of computer programming but I was hoping
to start my own blog soon. Anyhow, if you have any
suggestions or techniques for new blog owners please share.
I understand this is off topic however I simply needed to ask.
Thanks a lot!
